Mona the Macaw Reunites With Her Beloved Snow Globe, and Her Excitement Is Contagious

Decorating a home often means filling it with small treasures, whether that's figurines, gems, or framed photos. For one particular animal, though, there's one decoration that stands above the rest, and a recent clip of her encountering it again is worth watching.

A TikTok account called @monathemacaw posted footage featuring their Macaw named Mona. The bird becomes completely absorbed by a snow globe she clearly adores, and her response to the object is delightful. Watch the video to see the moment for yourself.

Mona was utterly fixated on the snow globe, even attempting to get through the glass and the cork so she could reach the snow contained inside. Since the snow globe counts as a holiday item, the bird had gone more than a year without seeing it, though it seems like it ought to remain out on display all twelve months.

Commenters were charmed by how quickly Mona recognized the snow globe. @heatherhousecleaning wrote, "The reaction when she heard the music is too good!" while @anomolly posted, "I’m screaming. The pure joy the SECOND she heard it is amazing!" Clearly, Mona's affection for the snow globe had not faded.

Several others felt the snow globe should never be packed away again. @taylor.munsell commented, "I’m CRYING. Jail time if you ever put that in storage again. What a sweet, angel bird." Another user, @itsdreamingnicky, added, "My heart! Please don’t put it away." The verdict from the crowd is clear: the snow globe deserves a permanent spot on display.

The sheer happiness Mona showed upon reuniting with the snow globe is wonderful to witness. It should be placed somewhere with a prime view so she can enjoy it whenever she likes.
