Jolly Pets Tree Tugger: A Chewy Find for Active Dogs

For pet owners whose dogs have energy to spare, a toy that actively engages them might be the answer. This hanging tug toy is turning yards into play areas, and it doesn't need someone to throw it.

The toy attaches to a tree or beam using a sturdy bungee rope, holding either a rubber ball or tire. After setup, dogs can jump, tug, shake, and leap without tiring out their humans. It's particularly suitable for strong chewers or dogs that love tug-of-war.

Available at Chewy, the Jolly Pets Tree Tugger Rope Tug Dog Toy is gaining fans among dogs and their tired owners. One pleased buyer said, “This is Ringo’s absolute favorite toy ever. It provides him endless entertainment and tons of exercise. He’s even figured out how to get it unstuck when it wraps!”

Another enthusiastic reviewer called it a “lifesaver” for their active puppy, saying, “It keeps my heeler/malinois mix entertained for hours. The ropes haven’t broken, even with all the tugging.” Many noted that it helps build both physical and mental stamina in dogs—something typical toys don't do.

Most reviewers appreciated its sturdiness and fun, but some offered advice: “My puppy has long legs and sometimes needs help getting her leg out when she gets caught,” one person wrote, emphasizing the need to watch dogs while they play. Another replaced the ball with an 8-inch tug toy to suit their dog better.

Foster homes and families with multiple dogs were especially fond of it. “This toy was a hit with our bully breed foster. She played nonstop, tugging and jumping—it was tough enough for her and easy to reset,” one user reported. Another said, “I love that I don’t have to throw the ball over and over. It’s just as fun for us to watch!”

For dogs that love to leap, chase, and challenge themselves, this tugger provides a full-body workout in the backyard, with no fetching required.
