This Ghost-Shaped Bag Dispenser from Target Adds Halloween Spirit to Dog Walks

Dog walks tend to follow the same pattern day after day. You pick up the leash, step outside, and cross your fingers that you haven't forgotten anything before your dog is already pulling ahead. The necessities of pet ownership aren't thrilling, but there's nothing wrong with injecting a bit of character into an item you handle constantly. If you're out there two or three times a day, carrying something that brings a small smile seems worthwhile.

That's the idea behind the Ghost Novelty Waste Bag Holder at Target. Priced under $8, this fluffy ghost from Boots & Barkley attaches to your dog's leash and keeps waste bags accessible, all while giving your walks a Halloween vibe. It won't transform how you walk your dog, but it can add a festive note—particularly for those who go all out for spooky season and want their dog to be part of it.

Good pet gear often addresses a minor annoyance without creating new ones. This ghost-shaped holder fastens to your leash with a lobster clasp and swivel ring, so remembering to grab loose bags before a walk becomes unnecessary.

An opening at the bottom lets you pull out one bag at a time, and a zipper in the back makes restocking fast once a roll runs out. No more rummaging through pockets or backpack compartments while out with your dog—everything stays in place.

The fuzzy ghost exterior isn't just for looks. Its soft, lightweight build means it won't rattle against the leash like some hard plastic dispensers can. That can translate to a calmer, more comfortable walk, especially for dogs who get thrown off by dangling items swinging beside them.

Swapping it in for the season is simple, too. Clip it to your usual leash during autumn, then tuck it away with your other Halloween decorations when the season ends.

For those updating pet supplies this time of year, a washable Aldi utility runner offers another handy solution for wiping muddy paws after wet walks. And for longer trips or weekend getaways, a portable pet travel bottle lets you keep your dog hydrated without packing a separate bowl.

Often the tiniest purchases become the ones you reach for most. Whether you're walking a curious puppy eager to inspect every leaf or an older dog content with a slow neighborhood loop, having waste bags exactly where you expect them removes a fair amount of friction.

And when that everyday essential happens to resemble a cute little ghost, your regular walks might feel a touch more enjoyable well before Halloween shows up.
