Farm Animals Line Up for Bedtime Affection in Heartwarming Clip

A video caption reads, "Never go to bed without kisses," paired with "love my babies." The "babies" in question are two cows and two donkeys.

In a clip that charmed viewers, these gentle animals are seen lined up, waiting for their mother's goodnight attention. They appear to be living their best lives.

Commenters asked for their own share of the affection. @Bri_tway wrote, "Give them kisses from me too!!" We'd also like to claim a few.

"This must be what heaven is like," added @Katsmash. @EMU-alum commented, "Boop, boop, boop, and boop!" We have to agree that booping these cuties would be at the top of our list.

@danielwelcher1 had perhaps the most enterprising idea: "Put a kissing booth out front and make a fortune." That's a business plan worth considering.

Viewer @Miss Beth voiced what many were wondering: "Can we see when they get their kisses?" A follow-up video delivered. In it, all the animals receive their smooches. On-screen text notes, "Goodnight kisses. No, I didn't kiss Mr. Cat… He would bite my face."

@shaniqua2520 highlighted the cat's role: "'No kisses, only hisses' ~Mr. Cat." The other animals, however, leaned in for their nighttime affection.

Why do animals enjoy kisses?

It's no surprise that dogs enjoy an occasional kiss, but seeing a cow lean in for a peck is less common. Perhaps it shouldn't be. Cows are highly social animals that form bonds with humans. They even play with toys.

Within a herd, cows show affection through grooming, so it makes sense they'd also appreciate pets and kisses from people—especially after roughly 12,000 years of domestication.

Naturally, you shouldn't approach a random cow and try to plant a kiss on it, just as you wouldn't kiss a human stranger. One thing is clear: this group adores their goodnight kisses.
