Five Below's $3 Catnip Toy That Mounts on the Wall Is a Winner with Felines

You know the drill when you step into Five Below planning to just look around: something adorable catches your eye, you tell yourself it's only a few bucks, and by the time you're near the register, you've already rationalized the purchase. That goes double when the item in question is something your cat would go crazy for.

So when I spotted the new $3 Wall-Mounted Catnip Ball Cat Toy at Five Below, it immediately stood out. Designed like a happy little wedge of cheese with a catnip ball sitting on top, it looks like an easy win right away. It's fun, it grabs your attention, and it's obviously made for cats who like to explore.

Five Below

After you attach it to a wall, cabinet, or fridge at your cat's eye level, the toy turns into a small enrichment zone. The catnip aroma is designed to attract cats for sniffing, rubbing, and eager swatting, giving them something to do throughout the day without you having to actively supervise play.

The compact size is a major plus. Rather than adding yet another toy to your floor—or having to retrieve one from under the sofa—this one makes smart use of vertical space. It's particularly well-suited for indoor cats who do well with short periods of stimulation in their daily routine.

At only $3, it's one of those low-risk buys that's hard to walk past. Even if your cat is picky, the mix of catnip, texture, and placement makes this toy stand out from typical options. It provides a new scent, a new surface, and a new spot for your cat to pause and interact.

The design also helps. The cheese shape keeps it playful without being excessive, so it's easy to see it fitting into your home rather than looking obviously like a pet product. It's cute in a way that feels deliberate, not gimmicky.

If you're already on your way to Five Below or just need an excuse to stop by, this is one of those small, clever items that seems worth picking up. It's inexpensive, smart, and made to keep cats entertained in a simple, no-hassle way.
