Save 50% on This Leafy Cat Tree That Doubles as Decor

Cats have a knack for getting into whatever they shouldn't — and houseplants tend to rank high on that list. Once a plant enters a home shared with a feline, it often becomes an irresistible target.

Amazon, however, is offering a plant that cats are meant to interact with: the Cat Tree With Leaves. It's currently marked down to $69.99, which works out to a 50% discount from the original price.

It has been a long while since I lived with a cat, but a product like this would have been welcome. For households already filled with greenery, it blends in as a decorative piece. At the same time, it serves as a working cat tree with a set of features that includes:

• A base built for stability.
• Three scratching posts.
• Four perches.

The leaves are nontoxic, but supervising cats while they play on the tree is still a sensible precaution. With proper care, the tree will hold up longer for the cats using it.

Each section of the Cat Tree With Leaves is reinforced, making it a fit for heavier cats as well as those that climb with Olympic-level intensity. Some weight in the base helps prevent tipping. A wall anchor set is included, though placing it in a corner could work if extra support seems unnecessary.

All assembly supplies come in the box, and that aspect has drawn particular praise from buyers. One cat owner described it as "Super easy and fast to put together." Durability also comes up often, with numerous reviews noting that the rope wrapped around the scratching posts is thick and sturdy.

Whether the plan is to keep it indoors or use it to furnish a catio, this cat tree makes a strong spring pick for inquisitive cats. The real plants in the house will be grateful.
